MAG (PS3)

Does anyone think this game is gunna be good? It has 256 online multiplayer games. Is anyone else thinking about getting this. It's a ps3 exclusive

I played the open MAG beta, and i´m really disappointed...
it took me 3 shoots with the sniper rifle to kill someone, that´s unrealistic as well like in MW2 with a silenced sniper rifle...
The movement is not smooth like in any CoD, you think you are controlling a heavy tank or something similar.
I think the game idea itself is good, but the realization is not good at all...
just my two cents...

Exactly what Horrorman said. I was totally disappointed, IW will have to do a MMO before I would buy a 256-multiplayer. I guess I have just gotten spoiled to the smooth feel of character movement in the COD world, nobody else can compare, not even Battlefield.

While it's a brave concept (256 online) and I wish it well, I can't see how it's going to work at the moment.

Regardless of technical issues, I think it's going to extremely difficult to get so many random players to play in a coordinated fashion, in order to fulfil the game's objectives.

We all know how difficult it can be to get two teams of six players on the same page, never mind two teams of 128 and even at squad level, you'll still need 8 players to work together.

My understanding is that even if you can get your 8 guys working well together, your ultimate success still relies heavily on the other 15 squads on your side. That's a huge ask, and I suspect the final outcome will most likely be based more on luck than judgement.

My main fear is that most games will simply degenerate into one huge team deathmatch.

I hope I'm wrong though. Very Happy

yep that´s what i think as well, most games will end in a kind of Team Deathmatch or whatever...

I, too, played the beta, and it was okay. I was confused as hell with customization and such.

I'll buy it if I can get it for 45 dollars or less. No way I'm paying 60 dollars for it.

I pre-ordered this to get the beta & just like Men on Film would say "Hated it!!!!".
Now I'm stuck with this turd, because I played the beta I can't cancel my order. I'll eat the five dollar fee, I'm not buying this poo

If you pre-ordered it with Gamestop, you should be able to cancel it.

This must be one of the first games they are doing this with. I pre-ordered one of the scifi shooters just to get the beta and then transfered my $ to another game. Also Pre-ordered one other game for beta and transferred dollars.

I am sure if you made a deal out of it they would transfer the $'s. I def would not spend the rest of the money on getting this game though. Seems like a steaming pile to me.

I agree to, now if they could get some really good dedicated servers or something for this game I don't think it would be to terrible but 256 MP those maps would have to be freaking gigantic.
