Looks like the new slim would be less expensive than the Xbox if you plan on playing games on-line. They put together somewhat of a cost of ownership for video game consoles. I got bit in the arse by the Wii extras over the holidays. Damn you Nintendo and all your silly little peripherals

I like how they left out the headset to benefit the PS3. Biased much? Compare FAIL.

EDIT: Also, 3 year Xbox 360 Warranty VS 1 year PS3 Warranty. Sony's also notorious for not honoring a warranty without a receipt.

where did you get 3 years X-Box warranty, never heard about !? you get 1 year for such things in germany...only if you "pay more" you can get more warranty on a such things...

Actually Walmart is doing some great deals on both systems I decided to do a little price check of my own. They have some bundles that seem to be worth it.

It says choice of game but they are basically giving you $40.00 towards a game. If you choose COD MW2 for instance they tack on $20.00 to the total. Still not a bad couple of deals for each system though.

I am very jealous of the EU warranty program you folks can get into. I think it is EU maybe just UK but either way we don't have the extended warranty program that you guys can buy over there. Very nice deal you have available.

Been 3-Years for the RROD since July 2007. They added the E74 error in April 2009.

Xbox 360 only has a 1 year factory warranty. You can buy a 3 year warranty through Best Buy, GameStop, Wal-Mart, GameCrazy, etc.

Same thing with the PS3.

lol Your all's xbox 3 year warranty is crap since all xboxes do is die out in about 2-3 months which is why they added that warranty while p3's easily last more than 3 years....

Spot on. I have had to send in my Xbox 360 every 2-3 months during the 4 years I've had one. They just keep dying because it's the most horrible system ever created. The games are complete crap, Xbox Live is horrible, it doesn't have built in WiFi, and it's limited by it's super tiny DVD which can't play the super cool, unbelievably awesome Blu-ray discs. Don't get me started on the $50 a year for Gold. I have to eat ramen noodles every night because of this giant investment. Every time I turn on my 360 I cry. Laughing

Yeah... I prefer the PS3 over the Xbox 360.

Really though the thing I don't get is why they say an Xbox is for hardcore gamers, because a hardcore gamer needs something that will last a long time, if you put a hardcore gamer on a 360 its probably going to get RROD in a month or so while with the P3 you can play that sucker as long as you freaking want and it will still last longer, plus you get free internet and it costs around the same price of a 360, comes with free wifi while you have to pay for internet which makes it actually more expensive than a P3, and who wants to pay more for something when they get less out of it like blu-ray capability, honestly it don't make a hole lot of sense microsoft is ripping people of hugely and yet people still buy from them.

Sorry, I was typing at a fast pace because I needed to head out the door, but anyways I'll leave the Xbox users here alone if they want to continue being scammed by Microsoft then I'll let them do that...haha if they got money to waste why not let them waste it since thats what they do with XBL Gold account payments, and they don't get as high of a quality out of the game as a P3 which has free internet, but yeah I'll leave them be.
