Is there any more hope for Mw2?

I mean 10th prestige lobbies, care package glitching, LAG, nuke boosting, host migration FAILING, noob-tubers, painkiller; if they don't fix this soon, (I know, i realize some of these things aren't very "fixable") I am seriously selling it and playing BFBC2. This is just crazy! Is anyone with me?

I dont know......at this point....no. There is no hope. Only good thing about this game right now is private matches with friends. When BFBC2 comes out, ill be moving on to a better game.

The reason i know BFBC2 will be good.....Game Informer is very biased when it comes to FPS games. If its not CoD, they never give it a decent score. Well, in the recent issue, GI gave BFBC2 a solid 9.5 score. I never thought id see that in a million years. So that right there shows that BC2 will be a great game. Not to mention the demo is super fun.

I hate LAG the most, so i voted for that...they could fix a lot of problems if we could do a regional search for games, or if we would have dedicated servers.
Thanks god there are other games to play...

yeah the game is annoying, and it wil be a while before it becomes a proper playable game.

painkiller really annoys me, but atleast its not constant, like juggernaut was.

It seems everytime something is fixed, lets say the javelin glitch, something else comes along like the care package glitch.

The game has flaws, but no game doesn't. I'm as guilty as the next man of getting angry with this game. Often to a degree where, looking back, it was completely out of line and excessive. As for the complaints you outlined, allow me:

10th Prestige Lobbies: Only possible with a JTAG modded Xbox 360 console. It's hard to find a console with the correct chipset for JTAG modding, and every JTAG is banned. Most don't last a week; some don't last 24 hours. But they are all banned, and that is the main thing.

Care Package Glitching: Fixed in the most recent patch. Likely to be another exploit for it, but rejoice until it is found.

Lag: It's an implication of P2P connections. Shame, but this is here to stay. Just hope you get in a lobby with a host who isn't strangling his bandwidth by downloading.

Nuke Boosting: Join the hunt and blow some of these cheaters to hell. If they're murdered every time, they'll be discouraged from boosting. I don't know if Infinity Ward will patch this, as technically, they are not exploiting the game.

Failed host migration: Curse the host for dashboarding rather than quitting. Due to this the game can't get the information required to migrate and therefore, the match ends.

Noob Tubers: They're not too bad now. I've never seen someone straight up tubing. Normally people have the attachment but don't really use it.

Painkiller: Kill the pain by killing the problem. Just hold the trigger down when you see that emblem flash up, is the only advice I can give.

So as you can see this game is not actually broken in any manner. At least not at the moment.

Better matchmaking CAN reduce the problem of lag considerably. Also, why this game can manage to lag while I'm still showing 4 bars IS a problem.

The act of boosting of any kind is the very definition of exploitation.

Doesn't matter how long you hold down the trigger, people can turn around while you are shooting them in the back and kill you while this is active. Totally overpowered nonsense that is only included in the game to minimize spawn killing rather than actually designing a spawn system that works.

So as you can see this game is not actually broken in any manner. At least not at the moment.

Regional search, yes. Dedicated servers, NO. Dedicated servers are not an option for online games the size of MW2.

10th prestige: Whatever. Yeah its exploiting and lame, but I always destroy them anyway, so its no big deal:

Lag: Every game has it. No biggie.

Care Package: Fixed, for now, so no biggie.

Failed Host Migration: Can't be helped, so no use complaining.

SnD Noob toobers: Need to do the WaW patch, then no problem.

Painkiller: Annoying, especially if level 70's are using it. But, they need that help, so don't complain.

10th prestige: Makes no difference to the actual game so man up and stop complaining. The only semi advantage that you get is they have custom slots but then again this makes sweet FA difference to their gameplay. More a problem now on XBL

Lag: Ok improving matchmaking but at the end of the day its the person's internet which causes them to lag. If you won't pay the price for a decent 20mb connection and host your own problem.

Care Package: IW have fixed this pretty much except for one adjustment for PS3. However when it was around everybody had access so the phrase 'If you can't beat them, join them' comes to mind.

Host Migration: IW atleast tried to offer a fix for this. The dashboard problem only affects XBL...

Noob Tubes: (rant) My major problem, in other CoD games it was bearable, they had 2 noobtubes max and once they were gone they were gone. However with OMA introduced it offers unlimited noobtubes... Whatever douce thought of this needs to get their head checked, it was obviously going to be abused by people... Please don't offer the excuse 'It was there to help the low levels get kills.' IW made the mistake with juggernaut and matyrdom, if they didn't know it was going to be abused again, get their bludy heads checked >.< (rant over)

Painkiller: Pahaha a lazy get out of jail card used by IW regarding spawn points. Please Treyarch don't use this in CoD7 actually try to fix the spawn points which can only be called the achilles heel of all CoD games.

Overall I think there is hope left for MW2. Okay its had major problems but they are mostly fixed and what are left seems to be localised to Xbox... Prestige lobbies only really happen on Xbox, host migration dashboard problem only happens on xbox... e.t.c

Please note i'm not trying to start a console war, just stating my opinions on questions asked in the actual thread.

personally i dont see much wrong with modern warfare 2. its a good game and you can play with your friends. Its a game for god sakes, like to see the people who complain all the time try and make a game as good as this.

As some people have already pointed out, every online game is going to have lag. no use complaining about it because its not gonna help nothing. Now honestly speaking, i used to use the care package "glitch". Didn't really see why people complain about it all the time, its just allowing you to run faster, if it does something else it must have done it after i stopped using it, and i used it again the other day and what do you know, nothing, not even running faster, so why still complain? The host migration is getting better so don't go expecting miracles from a new game, they have to do it step by step to see if it actually works over a period of time. Now I'm a PS3 user and i can say that I don't really get all these "noobtubers" that people complain about, the only time that i really see people using it is when they have to get the 20 killls with it, and i can even say that its just nice to have there if a sniper is constantly killing you and you cant get close to him. Painkiller, its a death streak, big deal. At least it isn't a perk in this game, and if high level guys need to use it, so what, get some balls and stop complaining about the game like really, got problems with it, stop playing it like really, im sure people dont want to be hearing about it and im almost positive that its come to IW's attention by now and there working on fixing it.

It wasnt the speed you run with the care package that people were getting so annoyed with, it was the glitch where you could call in unlimited care packages

To be honest i have have done both care package glitches and i did the javelin glitch but its all down to the fact i go by the rules if you cant beat em, join em.

Atm when ever im having a bad game i pull out my noob tubes + OMA and keep firing purely because if i dont do it, someone else will so it may aswell be me getting these cheap kills

oh okay, forgot about that care package glitch, to be honest it dont bother me at all. put cold blooded on and start shootin down choppers and get your perk up. thats what i do, dont see it happen much, in face i've only seen it once and im going for my 3rd prestige (10 levels away). well the OMA isnt really glitching or anything, its just being smart, whatever gets kills right. isnt that the point of the whole war comcept? correct me if im wrong.

yeah and im one of the people who are allways saying, its not meant to be real its suppose to be fun but unlimited noobtubes just seems like abit of a exploit? OMA was put there for those times you say "damn, if only i had a sniper...oh wait, OMA" but instead is being used to blow up people then change back to the same set

Tbh there is no way to stop it apart from removing one man army, which i think shouldnt happen

just gotta hope people dont take advantage as much as they are right now

IMO, OMA is a supporting role perk which is should be used by people using LMG's, were they 'camp' and assit their team mates with the goal.

I'm on ps3 as well and I am just thankful that we don't have as many hacks/hackers as 360 does, but guess what, just because we don't see it, doesn't mean its not available

in fact if I was on 360 or PC I would have probably traded this game in and/or demanded a refund
