Co-ed gaming

Women playing video games has risen dramatically since the early days. The Gamerchix group is defiantly proof of that. I am interested in hearing from you guys. What do you think about it. Many feel that women dont belong in games like COD. Personally shooter games (especially COD) are my favorite. I have certainly come across boys and men that send obscene messages and think that its funny or ok. Their excuse is "what do they expect on a man's game".

What do you guys think about women gamers. (you can be honest!)

A gamer is a gamer to me. Whether it be an 8 year old boy or a 30 year old woman. They all take an e-bullet the same.

They're one in the same. Actually most, if not all, female gamers I've played with seem to be more of a joy to play with than a lot of male gamers I've encountered. thumbs up2

Don't mean to go off topic or anything but how many FPS war games have "lady characters"? hmmmm .... lol

That said it really don't matter to me if its man or woman. My philosophy is -

You steal my kill, I kill you
You block my view, I kill you
You take my window, I kill you

I mean don't blame me .... the game itself says "Free for all - Kill all who rise against you!!" Razz

Sooo true. I dont know really any especially if they are war related games that would have female characters.

I'm embarrassed if I get my ass handed to by a girl. If it's via MP40 spray then I don't care, but if a girl can pick up a real gun and down me... Embarassed

Female gamers are equals in my eyes. A gamer is a gamer. I jus find it really annoying the disrespect that female gamers get.

I agree. Some girls are really good at these games. I know a few. I love playing with them just because they're a joy to have around and it adds to the challenge. Lol, girls should rebel and show the world how good they really are!

I have a few female gamers on my friends list. One lit me up with a G3 on COD4 and like a bonehead I sent her a msg about having a modded controller. She didn't have one, she was just good, so I apologized and she gladly accepted my FR. I've never accused anyone again.

We have a girl that plays with our clan. Her presence seems to keep everyone calm and laughing. When we play without her our tempers seem to flair up a bit more.

with all the chatter over live its nice to have a female voice heard. i love that more women are playin games out there. now i just need to find one around me! lol Laughing

I like girl gamers that are good at the game, but on the other hand, I don't really like girl gamers who don't know what they are doing.

I let my mum have a go on CoD4 once. The birds flying overhead must have been terrified.

yeah!! Just today a guy said to me, "Hey Koolaye..."

me: yeah?
him: you need to get a life
me: okaaay?
him: because girls don't play videogames.

Things like that make me all red in the face out of embarrassment because I can't come up with any witty comebacks. Instead I mute them or leave the room, but I wish I could say something though that gets their undies all bundled in a twist! GRRR!

Otherwise I'm cool about gaming with men and women! The girls I have on my friends list are able to talk crap really well to other players (nothing mean or upsetting, just jokes). I should definitely take notes next time and the guys are fun to game with too. I just wish I wasn't so shy all the time.

Plus i have 3 daughters so i better get used to Girl Gamers hey?
To all of SheplayCod, you are more than welcome and i'd rather play with a lobby full of girls than some gob shite kid, who by the way are the ones who send the obscene messages. Don't rise to them though, thats what they want, just kick their arse in the proceeding game.
