They really aren't too much more noticeable than any other weapon. Yes they are shiny and all, but the gun alone usually will never give away your position. If they can see your gun, it is extremely likely they can see your entire upper body.

Well not like sparkly shiny, but I find them more noticeable then other guns, other guns for example will sometimes blend into a background such as concrete, grass, etc gold doesnt really do that. But ya they dont exactly give away your position they do make it easier for me to notice u though if normally i wouldnt have (camo..).

Point I was trying to make is that unless you are lying down in the grass or trying to camp somewhere that the weapon will be noticed it isn't going to affect you at all. Personally the only golden weapon I will even use is the AK-47 and I run and gun with that, so it never is an issue. Sadly there are too many better weapons in every other category to justify using the lower quality weapon just for the gold (see MP5, P90, AK-74u, RPD, M40, Barrett, M21). I don't use shotguns too often since they have no range, but I find the pump to be a better fit for me more so than the semi-auto one even.

i had all of them but i didnt want to stop at 9th prestige so i just went to 10th and ive got the deagle and thats it 4 now..

Sorry for the bump, but there's not a lot of activity here and I wanna talk about COD4. Sad

I have all 5 gold guns but I only use 2 of them frequently, which is the AK and the Dragunov. The Uzi is good but the MP5 silenced is so much better. The recoil for the Uzi is off the chart, so best used without a silencer, despite how great it looks. I don't really use shotguns but it's good for the small maps, and the LMG is good for the small maps too when I want to show off.

I only wanted the golden AK back when I played CoD4, but when I did play it I usually always used my MP5 that and the M40 sniper rifle I loved that gun the most.
