Possible CoD 7?

I have heard some people say that Treyarch has taken up the challenge to make CoD 7, I do not remember where I have seen it but I remember what I saw. I do not have proof, but you know that Infinity Ward and Treyarch take turns making CoD.

Well since CoD WaW isn't actually a numbered CoD, and MW2 is removing the CoD prefix and adopting the MW one then i think it being called CoD 7 is unlikely Wink

It says:

Call of Duty 7 (working title) was leaked as being in production when David Kim, a senior animator at Treyarch, stated on an online website "I am currently on my second title as a senior animator in the games industry with Activision / Treyarch on Call Of Duty 7." No other information about the game has been revealed.

Has that truly been confirmed? I know it was a rumor awhile ago, but pics of the box art were released showing "Call of Duty" in the title.

Fourzerotwo has said that it will only say "Call of Duty" on the Normal Version of the game. It will not say "Call of Duty" on the Hardened and Prestige Versions of the game.

My guess is that it will be called, Call of Duty: __________

Chances are they will not include a number to the name.

That is very possible carbon, I knew it wasn't gonna be 7 but every CoD has a number, so CoD:WaW is like 5.

The next CoD with be the 7th CoD title from Activision. The numbers stopped at WaW.

Call of Duty
Call of Duty 2
Call of Duty 3
Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare

Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 (or just Mw2)

Yeah it obviously wont be called cod7, but just for now to make it easy to type and considering its the 7th official installment in the series, its cod7.

It was noted back in like february that activision was spotted purchasing songs from the Vietnam War era, as well as Cuban, African, and Russian music. So people are speculating its Vietnam/Cold War era stuff. Y'know, Bay of Pigs invasion? That would be freakin sweet. Very Happy

Just search activision cod7 on google. Your bound to get results about them buying the songs.

Yeah COD7 is simply a working title i guess you could call it CoD: Next or something.
But given it was a senior Treyarch animator who labelled it 'Call of Duty 7' i think its a pretty safe name to give it, at least till more details are released.

I'd love a Call of Duty title to be set in Vietnam, visually it would be amazing.

As much as I like WaW, I'd rather see a CoD:Vietnam or Cold War....

As was told to me...making assumptions from them acquiring music licenses is a bit far-fetched.

I'd love to see a CoD:'Nam though. I used to play VietCong Purple Haze back in the day and it was great fun. I'm sure Treyarch could do great things with the setting....not to mention the possible EPIC soundtrack.

When WAW came out all i heard is how tired people were of WW2 games (all of these people then got codwaw and loved it lol)

As much as i do love COD4 and WAW i think they could do some awesome stuff with 'nam. I would definatly love to see them go in that direction.
