COD4 was amazing the first time you played it when it released in 2007. It was fresh, added RPG elements to the mix, and it was modern. It also had a very engaging campaign with a storyline that made sense and was well thought out.

WaW brought us back to WW2. The single player campaign is by far my favorite WW2 campaign. Great story, great characters, awesome environments. It carried over COD4's multiplayer elements and managed to make them work in a WW2 environment. Sure, the MP40 may have been overused, but no more than the M16 in COD4. WaW also added online stats to the mix as well as tons of in-game stat break downs. Oh, and Treyarch seems to understand that I like the idea of separate audio sliders for my sound so every time I complete a challenge I don't have music blaring obscenely loud and ruining any chance I had of hearing enemies.

MW2 is a very solid feeling FPS. The control feels the most spot-on out of any FPS I've played on a console. The single player campaign is 5 hours of over-the-top action and adventure. Which is fun, except for the fact that the story is ludicrous. The multiplayer is great and SHOULD be the greatest ever. However, certain things grate on me. No Party Chat in TDM? Dumb. No separate sliders for audio? Dumb. No online stats?!? Wow. Seriously, this was GUARANTEED to be the #1 MP game ever and they don't have online stats? It's the equivalent of getting a brand new Lamborghini with a cassette player. Just missed total awesomeness.

my vote still stands with MW2 and i believe many peoples does because in the U.S.A this games release was rated the biggest "ENTERTAINMENT" release ever (not just game but entertainment) but i dont know what it ranked in the world

i do love the story also but i would still enjoy to see it i think they could do a better job than bungie and halo

MW2 without a doubt, then MW1, then W@W. Only really like zombies on W@W.

I think that MW2 is the best,however, I had a lot more fun playing Cod4 for some reason. As For WaW, I'd Rather play Call of Duty2: Big Red One.
