Most Useless "Item:" The Thumper!

I only use "item," because I can't think of a better word.

I can't think of one good reason to use the Thumper. It's by far the worst launcher. The Noob tube takes less time to switch to and kills just as well, if not better. All the other secondary weapons -- even the pistols -- get kills just as effectively.

Am I crazy, or is this thing completely useless?

the thumper is exactly the same as using a grenade launcher on your primary gun, end of story.

Besides the obvious delay from the time you pull the trigger until the projectile is fired....which is the exact reason I don't use the Thumper.

Pointless weapon is pointless imo.

I think it just makes more sense to equip a grenade launcher on your primary and choose something a bit more versatile for your secondary...but that's just me.

Hmm. Noob tube = Noob. Lol, but yeah I think it's pretty useless.

yeah i really do think the thumper is useless cuz its not accurate, its not powerfull and it has no range what so ever!

While I don't use it much, it is effective against the Javelin glitchers.

I don't think its useless. I went 30-7 in Team Deathmatch on sub base with a Danger Close FAL grenade launcher and the thumper. 3 triple kills tonguey

at the mo I actually love having the Thumper on my SMG class...

I have marathon, lightweight and steady aim with my vector

the Thumper makes a great weapon to pull out when you know you are coming upon more than one enemy in CQB

example:
I use this class mainly on Favela and Skidrow, these are mainly CQB maps with streets and indoor fighting (Favela has rooftops, but I personally don't think you should be sniping on them)

Anyway, I notice multiple enemies at the end of the street, I know if I try to run to them I will most likely get lit up, so instead I bust out the Thumper and launch a grenade at them, sometimes it doesn't work out the way you want it to, but then that's why I aimed for that truck at the end of the street and got a triple kill with an exploding vehicle Twisted Evil

Thumper+Random AR with Noob tube, +frag grenade.
Take Scavenger and Danger close and i can't see how anyone can call it a "useless weapon"... Having 5 indirect high explosives is excellent for anti-camping, clearing spawns etc. Can't remember the last time Skidrow loaded up and i didn't whip out my danger close setup and get stupid amounts of multikills :S

I use it on all my classes and if you use greneade launcher aswell it gives you the option of having 4.
But i tend to have silenced red dot so i use the thumper to add some explosion fun to the class,lol

I've been using it to try to get danger close pro, and I've used the ACR with noob toobs and the thumper withs scavenger. I'm almost done, and I started yesterday Smile

A few comments back, someone mentioned equipping it with an SMG as primary. I'm going to have to try that, thanks!

For those who mentioned using Thumper + AR+noob tube, I would think that simply equipping scavenger would have a greater effect, giving you unlimited ammo for the noob tube.

When it comes down to it, it's more effective than a few of the pistols at killing someone. So I wouldn't say the 'most' useless item but definitely not one of my personal favorites.

This is a thread discussing what a few members think is the most useless item in the game, not a complain thread. Even if it was a complaint thread, I don't know what country you live in but this is an American ran forum and we have can discuss whatever we wish as long it's within the forum guidelines. And before you make another thread asking why your prestige is -30, go through all the pointless posts you have made to give yourself an idea.

I think the Thumper is meh...

I was so hyped up for them when it was revealed before release but after using a couple times - I'm not too excited. Doesn't fit my playstyle either...
