How to get a Nuke?

after 5 days playing time i didn´t get a Nuke until now...my killstreak is 21 and my k/d ratio is 1.74
so i´m curious about of how did you get your Nuke?

which map
which game mode
which kilklstreak setup

btw i hate camping and my killstreak setup is - care package, Harrier and Pave Low.
How many Nukes did you get until now?

Ummm, about 15-16? Plus you should make that 10, 10+. Very Happy

which map Karachi, Invasion, Favela, Afghan, Estate, Highrise.
which game mode groundwar, mostly domination.
which kilklstreak setup harrier, chopper gunner, nuke.

btw i hate camping To get a nuke I have to not 'camp' but play more defensively. and my killstreak setup is - care package, Harrier and Pave Low. How many Nukes did you get until now? 15 nukes

Not sure how you only have a 21 streak yet a nuke? Oh and btw, don't forget our nuke guide thread, many tips in there to help you achieving nuclear success my friend.

Sure he meant 25 :-)

BTW i did mine on wasteland play HC HQ and i used harrier,Chopper gunner and then the baby Nuke

btw today i was close to get my first Nuke on Afghan Smile

i only needed one more kill for to get the Nuke
my setup was harrier, pave low and nuke...that Pave Low was a beast, he got a lot of guys Twisted Evil

so my new kill streak is 24 now, i´m getting closer bow

i have 10 nukes. i got them all in my 3rd prestige and got the spinning nuke symbol. I havent really tried for many nukes after that because thats all i wanted was the symbol.

Im happy at my amount of nukes and thats it. ill see if i want to keep building up more nukes...

Id say Im around 100 nukes now, but I rarely equip it anymore. Im trying to concentrate on other killstreak challenges.

but my highest streak is 27...
When i finish the other killstreak challenges then i'll try get it...

The pave low doesn't count towards your killstreak.

are you sure, i didn´t killed anyone in the time the Pave Low was in the Air...so i get my new killstreak from what !?

I have 12 Nukes. I use the traditional Harrier-Apache-Nuke setup, although I had a 30+ Killstreak while I had Predator-Harrier-AC130 on. And trust me, I would've had the Harriers without the Predator. They just had to respawn after I killed them all Wink

Perfect example of the BEST way to get a nuke happened to me today playing with a group of IRL mates. One of em gets a harrier, then a chopper gunner on groundwar domination. As soon as he shouts "shit, i'm on for a nuke" he has bodyguards everywhere watching his back. Final kill for the nuke was someone i last standed and ran away. Gave aidy a shout as to where he was... "pop" execution kill and Nukes away Very Happy

harrier, chop gun and nuke is the ultimate killstreak. once u get 7 kills on an open map the air support does the rest.
i've had 11 nukes be4 i prestiged but my best had 2 be on wasteland when i landed a 47 killstreak

Everyone seems to use the Harrier Strike, followed by the Chopper Gunner, and then the Tactical Nuke. I don't see why everyone is so excited by the Tactical Nuke - it's too risky to try and get, and you could lose for your team by trying to get it. Still, if you're good, I commend you for it.

Well most who try for the nuke do tend to stay out of the action which can cause their team a loss or a much closer game than if they were actually trying to win the old fashion way, especially in objective games. I typically try to get the 6-7 (depending if i'm using hardline) kills very fast and not just sitting in a corner. By doing this you have several chances to get a harrier instead of focusing on getting it the first try. Once you have the harrier then the nuke isn't too hard to get, especially if you land a few kills with the harrier bombs to get in the CG. Even if you don't get the nuke, having a chopper gunner up in any game is helpful. As good as the CG is, I think an ac-130 is more effective during objective games, especially late in the game when people are rushing in to try and win the round and aren't shooting rockets at you.

I've had quite a few nukes mostly on Wasteland and Derail. Ground War is the easiest for me as there are more targets.

Killstreak setup is classic Harriers, Chopper Gunner, Nuke

For Wasteland I'll patrol the edge of the map with my Intervention to get to the 7 kills and then my air support does the rest.

On Derail I'll rush the enemy spawn and take out their snipers (who are so predictable) before calling in the harriers etc.

Sometimes though the nuke comes in unlikely ways. I was having a shocking game on TDM Favela (score was 2 kills 10 deaths) so I decided to switch to the Ghost Recon default class and go on a knifing spree. Before I knew it I had 7 kills, called in Harriers, a couple more stabs and then found somewhere nice and peaceful to call in my chopper gunner. Then I nuked the map.

Just use the mentioned killstreak setup and you'll get the nuke sooner or later.

i changed my kill streak setup to Harrier, Chopper Gunner, Nuke -> and one day i will get my Nuke Very Happy

yea i know you didn´t camped, your team mates camped Shocked

my team was 1000 points into the lead, you joined and went flawless and it was a draw, well played sub122 !!!
