That is the main problem I had with the patch, the pistols. When you get into a situation where you have to pull out a pistol, you're already at a disadvantage. I hope so. In that one interview with 402 (Giant Bomb interview) Robert Bowling seemed very sure of himself that modders won't be a problem.
I'm going to hope for the best on this one. MW2 is simply too good of a game to be ruined by modders/glitchers.
I'm also glad they got people like MapMonkies to find the glitches before release. I know for a fact that Treyarch did it and yet a ton of glitches were still not found. (not sure whom to blame on that one)

it's a perfect way to stop the cheaters.
The fire rate is still good enough to kill an enemy within a second, which is well before they can react.

Honestly... why do you need to create a spasm in your finger (exaggerating) just to waste ammo?
2-3 shots is all it takes for rifles, and only 4 for pistols.

and I believe the rate of fire cap is what, 6-10 rounds per second for semi auto weapons?
