Best Primary Weapon in MW2

I read something on here about the best primary weapons in MW2 and I have to say that someone is not looking at the damage indicator as well.

The AUG and the SCAR are by far the best. If you can control the AUG that is. Equipping a silencer seems to help for some reason. The SCAR with Holo sight and Silencer/Heartbeat Mon is what I use mostly. The best secondary is the UMP of course with stopping power pro on. Complaints about the UMP are that it has heavy recoil, well...start firing at the torso and end with slapping them in the face with it, headshot! If they haven't fixed the 1887 patch yet, that is a helluva awesome weapon, although unrealistically powerful at longer ranges.

best secondary -> AA-12 w/extended mags

Best primary -> ACR - Red dot & Silencer
Best secondary -> Spas - Fmj & Grip

I rape the enemy's faces with that monster.

I like using the ACR.

I like to challenge myself when I play so I use guns like snipers and the FAL...
IMO anyone who uses a SCAR or ACR with stopping power is a noob... anyone can use those combinations...

That's why you don't waste a perk slot with Stopping power. ACR is a very tactical gun and though there is a very low recoil, See my Weapon Guide, it can be used tactically with the various perks and attachments. I wouldn't call it a n00bz gun, that is the MP40.

This is the best Primary, though I prefer to use the iron sights because 1) its the best iron sight on the game, and 2) cant get used to the RDS on it......LoL

UMP or the TAR.

I like the Scar, ACR and FAL with silencers because I love those guns' iron sights. I also really like the Intervention and the WA2000. I don't play much regular unless it's CTF. mainly I play HC Search.

Good advice - I used to do exactly the same thing with the Garand in W@W because that thing used to leap all over the place after firing and it ended up as my preferred weapon there.

On MW2 I like the FAMAS. It's accurate and drops the target sharpish. Only drawback is that the burst isn't too clever when you need to spray a group or something - but that's what your secondary shotgun is for so I draw that when entering a room or whatever.

Agreed. I tend to favor the silencer with it however.

There are ups and downs to every gun in the game. The best primaries are, in no particular order, and all in my opinion:

.50cal
Intervention
ACR
UMP 45
Riot Shield

The .50cal and Intervention are very powerful and great snipers, when they aren't handing out hitmarkers every two seconds. The ACR explains itself. I'd say it's the most accurate gun in the game, besides Snipers. The UMP is an incredibly high powered SMG, and it has an amazing range. The other SMGs are amazing as well, but this one is just a bit better and overused than the rest. The Riot Shield can be nooby, yes, but many people use it quite well. With the right tactics, you can kick some serious quantum singularity with it.

Now, on to secondaries.
M93 Raffica
Spas-12
AA-12
Striker
Desert Eagle
Stinger
Javelin

Raffica is a mini-M16. You can pull it out nearly as fast as a regular handgun. With Akimbo, this thing is like a semi-Automatic Model 1887. The Spas-12. Pump action. Meet the new Model, ladies and gents. This thing has some amazing range, with or without Grip. Use it. AA-12. Anyone who thinks that an automatic shotgun hasn't met this thing. Very useful in a tight situation. The Striker. A semi-automatic version of the AA-12, only it has a bajillion bullets in it. Dayum. The Deagle. I don't care what you say about the recoil, this thing packs a punch. With Akimbo, the recoil isn't a problem - hit both triggers at the same time, and the guy is toast. Stingers. You can't take down air support without these things. Well, properly. You can do it with other things, but the Stingers are much more efficient. And last but not least, the Javelin. Anyone order a secondary weapon as a Predator Missile? Well, if you use the Javelin, then yes. The missile on this thing seems to be just as good as the Predator. With Danger Close, the enemy is definitely screwed.

I think the best gun for each category of weapons are as follows:

Assault Rifle: AK-47 followed closely by ACR however the ak is like a 2-3 shot kill weapon and barely has any recoil.
Sub-Machine Gun: P90
Light-Machine Gun: AUG HBAR with stopping power easy a 2 shot kill weapon.
Sniper - Barret .50 same stats as intervention almost only with a faster fire rate.

AR - Has to be the ACR - the iron sights are amazing, and with FMJ its unstoppable
SMG - MP5K - Just for cool factor, and the high ROF with decent power
LMG - M240 - Good iron sights, works very well with grip/HB sensor
Sniper - Intervention - It forces accuracy, since there is a bolt delay between shots, is a one hit kill, and I've got to say, it looks amazing.

Secondary - G18 - this thing should be a primary - amazing ROF, which makes up for the low damage.

I don't think having a pistol for a primary weapon would be to great considering you have very low range with it and the G18 isn't the most accurate automatic pistol either.

You named one for each Tier of Gun and then you picked a Secondary. Lets try to stick to 1 Gun.

Well he's just stating his opinion of which weapon is the best primary weapon for each category so it's not really off-topic.
