Strange problem

When I create a topic or make a post, like now. The text I type in the box is completely white. I can't see a thing unless I highlight it before I post. Anyone else have the same problem? I'm using the latest version of firefox on the MAC OSX btw.

I use Google Chrome on a PC and it's working alright for me. Sounds frustrating though. I guess you could use the opportunity to really test your typing skills. I'm a glass half-full kind of person though. tongue

I use FF also, but on Win XP. Check your default browser settings for text.

I use FF on windows XP and I have no issues. It has to be a setting on your computer or browser.

Firefox 3.5.3 on OSX 10.5.8 shows the text as a dark grey #565656 as is set in the CSS.
Does it display fine in Safari for you?

It has to be a local problem on your machine, so like carbonfibah said you'll have to check your settings. Do you use a custom stylesheet on firefox for any sites/forums?

On safari I have no problem's at all. This is strange. I don't use any custom style sheets or anything. Hmm.

Hmm and it's only the main textarea? You can see the 'Subject' textarea fine?

Do you have the webdeveloper toolbar (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60) installed? If you do and go to Disable styles > disable linked styles

Can you see the text you enter then?

Yeah, the subject area is fine. It's just the main body of text area where you make the post. I don't have that add on installed either. The only significant add-on's for FF i have installed are greasemonkey scripts (for primary use with last.fm) and twitterfox. I'll try disabling them and see if it works.

EDIT:
Nope, no dice disabled both and nothing.

i tried it on all my browsers i use and they all work.
you could try re-installing the browser you use
(i use IE8, FF, Crome and Op).

Yea i have checked both my imac and airbook and no issues noted from my MAC OS machines using firefox - check your fonts in your user CP make sure you didn't select white by default
