Objective Game Mode Frustration

I haven't played much objective in WaW, for whatever reason. But last night, I wanted to play some CTF ... So, I tweaked a couple classes for that mode and dove in. However, it was one giant frustration -- I'm not posting this to complain but simply to see if others have had similar experiences:

1) Lag. I routinely test my internet speed and average anywhere from 6-10 MB DL and 1-3MB UL. It's not lag on my end. But I didn't join one game that wasn't laggy as all get out, and I tried for about an hour.

2) Random teammates [i]don't play the game mode[/i] that you're trying to play. I was one of a couple wearing a headset -- so no communication. In CTF, I was often on a team full of snipers who simply camped with their scopes on flags/alleys/open areas. Now, one or two snipers makes sense -- but an entire team? Who's going to make a run at the other team's flag?

3) Tanks. I played one game where the opposing team literally had three tanks camped around their flag. Talk about frustration.

4) Lag. Did I mention how laggy it was? After switching to TDM, the lag problems were definitely minimized, which means either 1) There are fewer servers dedicated to objective modes or 2) I just connected to bad hosts.

Have others of you experienced similar problems? How do you deal with them?

Are there any CTF or other objective players here? How do you deal with random teammates? Or do you only play with friends?

I understand your frustration, I dont play objective modes very often but when I do I make sure I have a team cause playing with randoms sucks.

Yea objective based games need to be played with a group of people - i wont play domination or CTF and other mods like that with out by group of people ... need people to communicate and know what they are doing to make the game enjoyable ...

I bet if you use the weplaycod find a gamer thing ... you will find a lot of people that would team up with you most of the people that play those mods play with a core or group of people all the time ...
