Most Useless Perk??
What do you think the most useless perk is in MW2?
I think the most useless perk in MW2 is Danger Close because i dont use grenades and i do good now on my killstreaks w/out it!
I just think i can use any other 2nd Perk that will benifit me and my team more like lightweight (along with marathon) will help for running to the bomb in Demolition or Search & Destroy or Domination or HQ Pro!
So give me your opinion on what you think is the most useless perk in MW2?

Re: Most Useless Perk??
They all have their advantages, but I think One Man Army is useless. I don't like the fact that you can't change back to your original class. I thought you were able to change to any of your classes multiple times, unless you can and I just don't know about it?
Next would be Scrambler. I actually get all excited when my radar goes haywire because that means an enemy is somewhere around me and I can go and find them! It kind of gives away your position more so than letting you be sneaky.

Re: Most Useless Perk??
I would say Danger Close but Danger Close Pro may be a decent perk, haven't used it yet. I tried finding out if 'Extra air support damage' means a powerful bullet, bigger hit radius or what but couldn't find anything. If it did make much of a difference than it may be a bit less useless.
As for One Man Army, I don't really think it's that useless. It's nice to have the ability to switch and destroy an enemy chopper gunner/harrier without dying and possibly ruining your killstreak from it. Or some may use one many army and hardline together so that they can get their first 2 streaks 1 kill earlier, then switch to a stopping power/cold blooded class to get your 3rd reward.
Scrambler does give away your position somewhat but it's really great for objective games where you are mainly defending a location. Now when the enemy team approaches they won't be able to rush in or know where to look exactly for someone before trying to plant the bomb, capture the hq, etc...

hmmm that's true about the Scrambler perk, I don't play too many objective games so I generally don't use most of the perks anyway that would otherwise help me in objective games. But ya I see your point
Re: Most Useless Perk??
danger close is actually pretty doable if you use
an Assault rifle + grenade launcher
thumper
semtex
And i find Ninja very usefull i like it that enemies cant hear me =)
Furthermore Scrambler and Sitstep kinda suck...

Re: Most Useless Perk??
Scrambler is useless unless it reaches pro, even after pro it, in a way gives away your presence, for example if you walk past me my radar gets fuzzy practically telling me your near, all i have to do is look around for you, and... bang your dead. an easy kill for me.
NOTE: scrambler pro(if you didnt know) has the ability to temporary disable a claymore when you walk or run past it. but it will reactivate after i think 5-10seconds.
--
now i have to disagree with "danger close." when you play core(regular match), and your using a M203 Grenade Launcher, danger close makes sure you get that kill. cause sometime you get a direct impact on your enemy and only wound them, having to fire off another round. it also makes the javelin have a bigger blast radius. now i havent tried this but it might give the AT4 a better chance in destroying a chopper.

Yeah i agree with the scrambler part! Whenever my UAV gets fuzzy i instantly know theres a guy by me. I would know if they called a counter UAV cuz they anounce it.

Re: Most Useless Perk??
Which is why scrambler pro is mainly effective when you are defending a position in demolition, domination, ctf, hq, etc.Kyled55 wrote:

For example, if the enemy is going to grab your flag and they have a UAV up, they will more than likely kill all the red dots around the flag before they grab it (so they don't get shot immediately after grabbing the flag).
Now if a few of your team has scrambler up, they don't know exactly where to look and it end up taking them more time to grab the flag. Or in HQ when they are trying to recapture a point, they won't know exactly where you are and if you have a HBS attached, you can tell when they are going to appear to shoot them down first.

Re: Most Useless Perk??
Scrambler pro is probably the most useless, because even if you survive a claymore, the enemy knows your around. In no way is that considered "Stealthy".
Also, Danger Close is a great perk. I built an explosives class around Danger Close and I get tons of LOL from it.
