It's hard to say I have one class that's my ultimate favorite. Further, I would differentiate between "favorite" -- as in, what do I enjoy playing the most -- and "effective" -- what gets the most kills and fewest deaths. (Obviously, this would vary by game mode, but let's say TDM).

Most effective across the biggest range of maps. These are my go-to classes:

SMG Class:
MP40, dual mags
Tokarev/Magnum
-Tabun
-Frag
--Fragx2
--Juggs
--Steady Aim

Rifleman Class
STG, Telescopic Sight
Tokariv/Magnum
-Betty/Bando
-Stopping Power
-Impact

Sneaky Sneaky Class
MP40, Suppresor
Magnum
-Bomb Squad
-Camo
-Steady Aim

But, when it comes to favorite, in terms of being fun and/or challenging to play, I would say that I enjoy using the Machine Guns that have a high rate of fire (such as Type 99 and FG 42) with slight of hand and steady aim. The high rate of fire gives you a chance in close quarters, and they've got enough range to be deadly from across the map.

I also love me some silenced Ghewer with stopping power.

I also enjoy playing with camouflage on some of the other guns, even without suppressors. I've toyed with the Type 99, Type 100 (box clip), STG, and DP, and when I unlock it again, I'm going to try the PPsh. There's something about having the element of surprise that camo affords that seems to make up for the lack of stopping power -- at least if you play your cards right and maneuver about the map strategically.
