Can't say I've tried using Hardline that much, I might do when I reach level 70 using the AK and dual shotguns, I'll be the most despised player there. 
One class I used a couple weeks back that proved successful was this:
SCAR silenced
AA12 silenced
Scavenger Pro
Stopping Power Pro/Cold Blooded Pro
Ninja Pro
Just keep planting claymores around the level in populated areas, picking up stronger enemy weapons and using those whilst running and gunning. I think I had an enemy AK with the SCAR, and went about 20 kills in a row before dying. Might be worth trying with a non silenced AK and Cold Blooded, it's strong enough without SP.

Followed this guide helped a lot i almost had my 1st nuke but got knifed 2 kills away
