Your MW2 Perk Setups Empty Your MW2 Perk Setups

Post by FROSTY Sun Nov 08, 2009 3:18 pm

HC HQ class setups, grenade 2 is smoke for all classes, the deathstreak is painkiller as it allows me to get out of spawn quicker and is the less gay of the other 4 (copycat is cool, but this jugger class is more useful later on).

Anti-Air* -Range of helicopter. Designed to take down enemy air vehicles.
Gun 1 Strongest LMG/RPD +A:RDS -Whatever does the most damage to a helicopter at a good range.
Gun 2 Best Machine Pistol +A: RDS -Whatever works against enemies at close range (used until you locate helicopter to defend against enemies).
Equipment Stinger/AT4 -Whatever takes out an AC130 and Helicopter equally well, will probably use stinger, because AT4 is unrealistic to real life.
Perk 1 One Man Army Pro -Switch class when done using.
Perk 2 Stopping Power Pro -Lower time to destroy heli.
Perk 3 Scrambler -Jam close range.

Marshmallow* -Close range attacker, quick long range runner. Designed to capture hqs.
Gun 1 Vector +A: Silencer
Gun 2 Shotgun +A: Silencer -for close range.
Equipment Claymores -to defend.
Perk 1 Marathon Pro -Run unlimited.
Perk 2 Lightweight -Run faster.
Perk 3 Scrambler -Jam close range.

Pessimist Ghost* -Just in case medium range, designed to get as many kills as possible with silencer option only if it doesnt reduce damage at medium range significantly.
Gun 1 SCARH/ACR/LSW +A:RDS/FMJ +A:Silencer/Heartbeat -Best rifle setup for most kills at medium range with or without silencer.
Gun 2 PP2000/Colt 44 Mag/? +A: RDS/Silencer -Whatever works best for getting the most kills at close range.
Equipment Claymores/? -Defends an area from attack or use whatever helps get the most kills.
Perk 1 Bling Pro -To get most kills as possible.
Perk 2 Cold Blooded Pro -Cant see.
Perk 3 Ninja Pro -Cant hear.

Classical Sniper* -Used for long range and can be switched if you get bored.
Gun 1 M21 EBR
Gun 2 PP-2000 +A: Silencer -undetectable at close range.
Equipment Claymores -used to defend.
Perk 1 One Man Army Pro -to use when you dont wanna snipe anymore.
Perk 2 Cold Blooded Pro -cant see.
Perk 3 Steady Aim Pro -can shoot longer.

Pop Rush* -Used for rushing and shooting at medium to long range, idea is you run in fast and do a lot of damage while being hard to detect (essentially hit and run).
Gun 1 AK47/SCAR-H +A: RDS -no silencer. Whatever is best for medium to long range with good sights for medium that does the best damage.
Gun 2 Machine Pistol/? +A: RDS -Whatever is best for rushing and gets the most kills at close range, while being automatic.
Equipment Semtex/? -Whatever is best for rushing and gets the most kills.
Perk 1 Marathon Pro -allows you to run longer and climb faster.
Perk 2 Cold Blooded Pro -cant see.
Perk 3 Ninja Pro/Commando -cant hear/cus its cool. not sure about this one, will use commando if its fun and I feel like it, or ninja pro if it significantly increase my number of kills (as im not sure how many ppl will have heartbeat sensors).

Killstreak Setups

Tactical
Counter UAV -4 kills -take out enemy uav.
Harrier Strike -7 kills -can take out enemy helis and still get kills.
EMP -15 kills -take out all enemy electronics, killstreaks = maximum rapeage.

Most Kills
Predator Missile -5 kills.
Harrier Strike -7 kills. -can take out enemy helis and still get kills.
AC130 -11 kills.

WW3
Precision Airstrike -6 kills.
Harrier Strike -7 kills.
Stealth Bomber -9 kills. -carpet bomb.

Low Yield
UAV -3 kills.
Counter -4 kills.
Predator -5 kills.

Anyway, those are my ideas for perk setups for MW2. What have you guys come up with?

Although I've not unlocked them all yet, I've been going with...

-Sleight of Hand Pro
-Stopping Power Pro
-Steady Aim

Since a lot of the CoD4 Perks are now attachments (Deep Impact = FMJ, Double Tap = Rapid Fire, Bandolier = Extended Mags), it allows greater depth in your custom class. I'll also say that Stopping Power is really not necessary to stay competitive as was the case in CoD4, so those other specialized perks will come into play a lot more.

Your MW2 Perk Setups Empty Re: Your MW2 Perk Setups

Post by FROSTY Thu Nov 12, 2009 8:53 am

Most of the classes dont need that much tweaking, but up to you. I only use one Marshmallow class (the Vector one), however the other version is basically a small tweak that creates a class that allows you hold as well as capture. Note descriptions are for the first option available to you -classes arent final so I put them all, you can either use the last choice, or pick the one you want, choice I picked for multiple choices are in bold. Also, I didnt use Cold Blooded on Marshmallow simply because Lightweight does help, however if you wanna change it feel free, its up to you. If you use Cold Blooded with the Marshamallow class stick Ninja on as Scrambler doesnt make sense if you do... Most of the classes dont have Cold Blooded due to most game types are regular, Anti-Air shouldnt use Cold Blooded as Stopping Power Pro helps destroy airborne vehicles. Not all classes have all the perks shown (such as the default only choices).

Anti-Air -Take out airborne vehicles.
LMG (RPD is best, I use LSW so I can use it to attack enemies).
AT4 -Aim, lock, fire and forget.
Semtex -I dont throw them at the helis, but you never know.
Smoke -Allows you to hide while you attack the heli (if needed).
Sleight of Hand -Reload fast.
Stopping Power -Cause more damage with LMG.
Scrambler -Invisible at close range.
Painkiller -In case spawn is under threat.

Marshmallow Ver.1 -Used to capture.
Vector w/ Iron Sights -I find it has good rate of fire and accuracy.
PP2000 -Similar to Vector (switch when bullets run out, use the same).
Semtex/Claymores -Use to guard the flag/hq (site), or take out someone.
Smoke -Throw in front of the site to block the enemies view.
Marathon -Run unlimited.
Lightweight/Cold Blooded -Run faster.
Scrambler/Ninja -Invisible at short range (most sites are CQB areas)
Painkiller -Since you run fast, painkiller makes it easier to get where you need to.

Marshmallow Ver.2 -Used to capture and hold sites.
SCAR-H/M4A1 w/ Red Dot -Use to hold and defend the site from a distance (beyond CQB preferably)
PP2000 -Use to capture and defend up close.
Claymores -Use to guard the flag/hq (site).

Superman -Sniper class. Used to destroy at long range, and destroy at close if you need to defend (recommend camping properly so you can defend close range if you have to and get long range kills at the same time -like near a wall, or far away, or a house).
Barrett 50cal w/ No Attachment -Rapes at Long Distance, higher rate of fire then Intervention.
AA12 w/ Attachment of Choice -Rapes at Close Range.
Semtex/Claymores -Sticks to walls. If you want distance use sem, and if you want to hide in a corner use clays (I usually use clays, but not always so no bolding).
Smoke -Lets you hide.
Marathon/Bling/One Man Army -Run faster (defaultish). Bling is up to you (I dont use it), and One Man Army is recommended when you get it so you can switch to a different class if you want to.
Stopping Power/Cold Blooded -Do more damage -ie one hit kill!
Steady Aim Pro -Aim longer (Pro Version)
Copycat -In case you wanna copy your enemy and ditch the sniper class.

The classes below arent perfect, essentially they are both based on the same idea use a midrange assault rifle to get as many kills as possible by using Bling.

Pray -Midrange assault class that combines with Hardline to help get low yield killstreaks (3-4-5).
SCAR-H w/ Red Dot (RDS) + Grenade Launcher (GL) -2 noob tubes (dont waste them get a kill with each one if possible, practice so you can guarantee you do), RDS to give you a fighting chance since the default sight is a lil tricky to use (especially with High sensitivity).
A12 -Rapes at Close Range.
Semtex -Helps get an easy kill if you know where an enemy is.
Stun x2/Smoke -To help hide.
Scavenger/Bling -Use scavenger to scavenge dead enemy ammo for extra noob grenades.
Hardline -To cut your killstreaks by 1.
Scrambler -To jam close range to give you an edge in CQB.
Painkiller -To help you defend the spawn.

New School/Ghost/Jasper/Casper -Midrange assault class that combines old gun setups with the new. I use the New School name but the proper would be Ghost, Casper or Jasper if you want.
M4/SCAR-H/AK47 w/ Silencer + GL -Iron Sights are a lil difficult for this gun, so its up to you. You could also switch the gun to the AK47 later on as the sights are easy to use with the AK and Pray already uses the SCAR-H (though I'm not a huge silenced AK47 fan its still a great idea). Also, if you want you can use the M4 until Cold Blooded is unlocked as it works pretty good with the Stopping and Steady.
USP .45 -I use it cus it's what was in the last game for secondary, but its up to you.
Stun x2/Smoke -To stun your enemies, or use the smoke to hide when you retreat, or to help capture a site.
Marathon/Bling -Allows you to run around. Allows you to use two attachments.
Stopping Power/Cold Blooded -Increases the amount of damage you do.
Steady Aim/Ninja -Increases hipfire allowing you to defend more easily in CQB.

Hope you enjoy! Smile Tested most of these classes on Team Deathmatch and Domination, HQ Pro works with Marshmallow 1 though you might wanna switch to Cold Blooded and Claymores (up to you).

Your MW2 Perk Setups Empty Re: Your MW2 Perk Setups

Post by FROSTY Sat Nov 14, 2009 2:21 pm

I feel kinda bad for posting these since I've been having a lot of fun jumping on dead bodies (going prone and crouching in all the right places). Anyway, if your on this forum figured you guys deserved a treat.... Note these classes are not final since I dont have all the weapons or weapon attachments yet. But, anyway, some are for fun, others are for well you know **PING.

Turtle
// The idea is you use your riot shield on your back like a turtle. Teenage mutant ninja turtle, ya, ya. Seriously put it on your back it helps protect you. Its just a fun class, I occassionally use it up front. You have to learn how to use the PP2000 which isnt that hard, but you might wanna grab an enemy gun when you die. I do occassionally bust it out front, but the idea is you dont too much. Try busting it up front and throwing a Semtex for hilarious kills!!!

Riot Shield
PP2000 With Iron Sights
Tactical Insertion/Semtex
Smoke Grenade
Marathon
Lightweight
Scrambler Pro
Painkiller

Use tactical if you dont like running too much, and sem if you want extra kills but dont mind the carpel from rushing. Note you can change whatever you want, I usually use this class for fun, or for distracting the enemy, and assaulting a flag, as long as you remember the idea behind the class. Would not recommend red dot or silencer as red makes it tricky when shooting and silencer reduces the range dramatically.

Marshmallow
// So this is the finished form which I generally use on TDM and Domination, though I might replace weapons later (doubt it). This class is my uber capture class for capturing!!!

MP5K With Rapid Fire
PP2000 With Iron Sights
Tactical Insertion
Smoke Grenade
Marathon
Lightweight
Scrambler Pro
Painkiller

This class has a few problems and few advantages. Problems are you need to basically time single to burst shots beyond close range to be accurate (Rapid Fire..). Advantages are at close range you unload a whole clip in about 5 seconds, and it shoots accurately!!! I've killed two or three people with one clip at close range, recommend hip fire then down the sights if possible... Just practice and you can get what I mean - dont always use iron sights due to the amount of time it takes unless its past close range, fire from the hip and clutch it.

Troll
// This is my anti-air and fire support class. I use it on Domination mostly, and whenever I need to shoot down an airborne vehicle. To unlock the LSW Attachments use Overwatch then make the class so it doesnt take as long to unlock the Red Dot.

LSW With Red Dot
Javelin
Tactical Insertion
Smoke Grenade
Sleight of Hand
Cold Blooded
Scrambler
Copycat

Copycat is in case you die and you want to switch your class quick once the heli is shot down without having to respawn with this class first. Equipment is up to you, pretty much everything works, but Tact lets you camp and get cheaps kills, remember LSW has range, so dropping a Tact. and then rushing in and then respawning and getting revenge kills is always recommended. If you wanna help teammates capture go under bridges - I usually camp under the bridge to jam them with Scrambler to allow people to cross easier, seems to work havent checked it on Private Match though (hence the name Troll -Troll Under the Bridge...). Use Stopping til you get Cold and use the AT4 til you get the Javelin. Smile

Pray
// One less kill for killstreak, and a whole lot of noobs.... You can use a different gun, but would recommend one with a good iron sight.

SCAR With Grenade Launcher
Javelin
Semtex
Stun x2
Scavenger
Hardline
Scrambler Pro
Painkiller

Idea is simple use your explosives to get as many kills as possible to help you unlock lower yield killstreaks. I recommend 4 - Care Package 5 - Predator then whatever you want though 7 - Harrier is the most tactical as it allows you to control a point on the map, drop an airstrike, and provide support against infantry and other airborne vehicles (especially Helicopters). Use a launcher in the secondary at all times (AT4 works good until you get Javelin). You can switch the stun for a smoke if you wanna try and increase your chance of staying alive.

New School
// Idea is you use what in the new game, I use an M4 with Marathon, Stopping, and Steady until I unlock the later perks.

M4A1 With Red Dot + Grenade Launcher
Javelin
Semtex/Claymore
Smoke
Bling
Cold Blooded
Ninja
Painkiller

Idea is you use a launcher with a pimped out gun for medium range, using stuns to stun people, and cold and ninja to help you run and gun. You can use a silencer instead of a red dot its just a lil tricky, note the iron sights work pretty good at medium range with the M4. Smoke is to help you get away, or assault. Claymore is if you wanna camp, I personally prefer the Semtex as it gets more kills and helps clear out second floors.

Hope you guys like those classes a lil better, lots of fun, but tricky to get kills. Twisted Evil
