PS3 Saving/Loading Problem

I'm having a big problem saving and loading on PS3...
Whenever I access the pause screen and press "Save And Quit", the game says that it's saving, and seems to do so. I can go back to the main menu, and if I press campaign, I can get access to my current progress and start from the latest mission.
However, if I turn off my PS3 or quit Modern Warfare 2, then go back in the game and press campaign, it starts right from the beginning again. My save file is in my Saved Data Utility, but it seems that the PS3 can't load it. There is not even a message saying that the file can't be loaded. It just says it's checking the HDD, and then I start from the first mission.
Any help

Ok dude 1 thing before i help you... you have the BEST name ever!! lol
Well try deleting the saved data then do a mission after that. Then save it and try the process again. If it doesnt work then i dont know what to tell you.

Actually, I already tried that . I deleted it from Game Data and Saved Data Utility.
Also worth mentioning, it takes away my trophies when it doesn't load my data :S. I had 10% last night before deleting, but then I had 0%. Weird, isn't it? I thought trophies usually stayed, no matter what.

wow thats stupid how you lose all of your trophies! i thought u (no matter what) keep your trophies! Cuz i have trophies still from games that i dont even have anymore. Once i got rid of those games i deleted saved data to save some space on my hard drive!
