I dont mind camping

Ay if you cant beat it join it. Its a war game the objective isnt to run up to youer enemy with c4 in your hand. I play with statagy and i do camp at times. Now it is ok when your defending a passage way, because it is the oher players fault for keep going the same way only to get moweddown by you. Camping is when you set in a dark or bushy corner and wai for people to come by. I try not to die, and do whatever i can not to die. it is th enemy fault for not taking where you are into consideration.

I beleive camping is ok do you?

In certain situations I see camping more or less acceptable. For example, I don't really enjoy play Headquarters and having a few guys camp all the way across the map not even trying to capture the hq. Now in TDM, it's more acceptable but I still don't camp nor would I want a camper on my team really. What would you define as camping? Staying in a spot for 5 second? 10? 20? Is a sniper standing in a window for minutes a camper?

I played a game of Domination on Karachi opening week and went 49-5-2 and got yelled at for being a camper. But the thing is, we had A and B (or C and B). So i climbed up on the center roof and ran back and forth killing off the people trying to take the positions we had captured. I don't feel I was camping. I was constantly running back and forth trying to defend. I believe that is called defense from a tactical position. (of course, a lot of those kills were from my harrier/ac130/emergency care package rewards as well.)

Now when I walked around a corner, and there is a guy laying prone or crouched in a window already looking down his sights waiting... that, I feel is camping. Then when you go around that same corner 2 minutes later and he is still there, that is def camping.

Snipers are a different story. Obviously they can't go running around the map (though the automatic pistols make this more possible), but after 2-3 kills, they should start to move. I hate the snipers that just look through the scope at a doorway by your spawn and wait. Those are camping snipers, but the ones that quick scope to look around and aren't just focusing on one spot, they're the good snipers.

Campers don't really bother me (although I curse my head off when I'm killed by one). I just can't camp for whatever reason. I consider myself the complete opposite of a camper, always roaming the map, looking for my next kill.

You can kill me once if you're camping, but you better believe I'll have a frag served up in your face if you're still there after I respawn.

I am with you on this one. That is not camping that is using your position as an advantage to win an objective based game. I used to play nothing but S&D and people would get upset that you sat and waited at a defend point for someone to come plant the satchel? Really? That is what you are supposed to do... come clear out the plant area before you try to plant. I am not going to sit back and let you plant because I was running all over the map when really all I am supposed to do is defend the areas that you have to plant.

Looks for - rep button?!? If you win it doesnt really matter. I seriously have issues with campers though, they do ruin quite a few games you play on MW2. I had a friend camp sniping game after game and we ragged on him about it, largely because camping will either get you a 22-3 score or a 12-30 score. If someone is camping pick the appropriate class, sneak up, and take them out, or use explosives, and flush em out, and smoke em. Camping is annoying for a number of reasons, but the only people who really bother me who do it are the ones who stay in the same area and basically just switch the spot they were in so if you do try and get them they get you instead. And, if you really wanna prove camping is annoying try using pred- harrier - chopper and camping til you get 5 kills... lol ya

Paying alot of money for MW2 just to sit in one spot without moving?

I'm not a fan of campers and it's far worse now than it ever was on CoD 4 and WaW.

Its a war game buddy. Now If im up in a house waiting for somebody to come by (i see them approaching on my radar) im gona get ready to kill. CoD isnt about charging to B and getting killed then yelling (DAMN CAMPER WTF) thats your problem for being stupid

Yeah the only time you are camping is when you wait in a corner for the entire game with like cold-blooded and ninja. i have that problem too, I get behind enemy lines and wait for them to come out. my friends all say its camping, but its not.

Meh, each to their own i guess. Personally, camping is buddy, irritating, and the only way the average captain no-skill can get any sort of K/D, but that's my opinion.
